Anita SmithWorship Pastor Anita was born in West Virginia and raised in Florida. She was first aware of her call to the music ministry as a child and has been singing and playing keyboards in churches since the age of twelve.

Anita has served as a music and creative arts pastor, singer, musician, dancer and teacher in various churches for more than 30 years. She has written numerous songs and recorded several projects, the most recent, a CD, "I Will Follow You," released in 2004. She has been classically trained as a dancer and has danced in worship productions both in Florida and North Carolina.

Anita’s ministry preparation includes graduation from Victory Bible Teaching Center in Palm Bay, Florida; United Christian Bible Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee; and Rhema Correspondence Bible School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has also completed biblical and leadership training programs within Mighty Fortress Church. She was ordained through the Impact International Apostolic fellowship in January 2009.

Pastor Anita understands the importance of Spirit led praise and worship and has a passion for leadership and building strong worship teams – with heart and skill.

In April 2009, Integrity Music invited Anita to serve on a Worship Pastor’s Advisory Council. Through this opportunity, she and 11 other worship pastors from the United States worked with Integrity’s Resource Development department to assess the worship resource needs for the local church.

Judah’s Voice, the worship team she leads at Mighty Fortress, uses a contemporary style to declare the message God has given them as stated in Isaiah 40:3, “A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!” (AMP)
